About Caleera
Desi, just not how you remember it.
Caleera was born from a love for Indian fashion and the feeling that it could be so much more.
We take the prints, colours and craftsmanship we grew up with and reimagine them through silhouettes that feel unexpected, flattering and easy to wear. Think dramatic sleeves, playful necklines, fluid fabrics, nostalgic details and a little bit of drama rooted in India, but never restricted by tradition.
Our collections draw from the fashion, cinema and pop culture that shaped us, with a particular love for the romance and attitude of the late '90s and early 2000s. The result is Indian fashion with a little more personality: feminine, expressive, comfortable and made to be lived in.
At the heart of Caleera is the belief that fashion should fit the woman, not the other way around. Our pieces are thoughtfully designed with real bodies in mind giving you room to move, breathe and feel good without compromising on style.
The name Caleera comes from the kaleera the bridal adornment traditionally worn by brides, carrying wishes of blessing, celebration, love and good fortune. We loved what it represented: something deeply Indian, deeply sentimental, and meant to be cherished.
